　　從句

　　1.名詞性從句：主語從句，賓語從句，表語從句和同位語從句

　　A主語從句：

　　That引導(通常用it作形式主語)：It’s imperative that the government should be effectively involved in the comprehensive management of both public and private schools.政府有必要有效地參與到公立和私立學校的管理中來。

　　What引導：What we emphasize is that formal examination is harmful to students' creativity.我們強調的是考試對學生的創造力有害。

　　B表語從句

　　The great contribution of public school is that poor students have easier access to receive education.公立學校的巨大貢獻是使貧困學生有了更容易獲得教育的途徑。

　　C 賓語從句

　　What引導：They want to imitate what they see.他們想要模仿他們看到的東西。

　　That引導：Other people hold that eradication of ancient buildings is the natural process of urban development.其他人認為拆除古老建筑是城市發展的自然進程。

　　D 同位語從句

　　Prejudice against women violates the fundamental principle that all people are created on equal terms.對婦女的偏見違反了人生來都是平等的基本原則。

　　2. 形容詞性從句——定語從句

　　Nowadays, more and more people agree that smoking is an unwholesome hobby, which is equivalent to committing suicide.現在越來越多的人同意吸煙是一個不健康的愛好，它等同于自殺。

　　3. 副詞性從句——狀語從句

　　狀語從句包括時間、地點、原因、目的、結果、條件、比較、讓步等。

　　簡單句

　　1.分詞做狀語或定語分詞有兩種形式：現在分詞和過去分詞

　　Living far from home, one would suffer from loneliness and homesickness.離家生活，人們遭受孤獨和思鄉之苦。

　　Prompted by the great leap of science and technology, work today is more demanding than it used to be.受到科技進步的促使，現在的工作比過去要求更高。

　　The commodities and services advertised by super stars tend to enjoy higher sales than those not advertised.由明星代言的產品和服務比沒有廣告的銷售量更高。

　　2. 介詞短語做狀語

　　With the limited budget, the government is unable to invest much money in art projects.預算很有限，政府不能投資很多錢在藝術項目上。

　　3. 有些時候，兩個或多個謂語共用一個主語

　　Formal examinations put great stress on students, generate an unhealthy spirit of jealousy and competition, and even bring about psychological problems.考試給學生帶來很大壓力，產生不良的嫉妒和競爭感，甚至帶來心理問題。

　　插入語

　　經常可做插入語的表達包括：therefore, however, in the long run, to some extent, as..., for example, etc.

　　Students who have part-time jobs can relieve, to some extent, the economic burdens of their parents.做兼職的學生在某種程度上能減輕他們父母的經濟負擔。
