l Introduce yourself自我介紹 (姓名，專業，學校)
First let me introduce myself, my name is XX, 23 years old, and xxx is my English name. I am open-minded, easy to adapt, compatible with my friends, and willing to help others.
I am a hard-working person with great perseverance. I will try my best to finish a matter no matter how difficult it is. During my college years, I have made great progress in different areas, as a student, I work hard, and get the scholarship many times. My favorite subject is xxx. xxx is through a series of activities to bring value to customers. It is very interesting and valuable.
As for my strongest strength ,I think it is my responsibility in work and study ,which promote me unceasingly devote myself to my work. In group cooperative work, I always try my best to finish my part on time and make sure that correct.

I studied in XX University. Although it is not well known, I still appreciate it, because it offers me a chance to develop my abilities. During my college years, I have made rapid and great progress in many areas, as a student, I work very hard, and obtain scholarship many times, as a monitor, I work earnestly, also gain good comments from teachers and classmates. Working as a member of Student Union, I strive to finish any assignment perfectly. In a word, I have harvested a lot in my college life.

My hometown is xx, a young city in xxx Province. It is famous for its xx and xxx. There are great scenes here, such as xx, xx, xx, and so on. Each year, many people come here for tour and investment. l Introduce your reason for preparing the postgraduate exam 考研的原因(重要)
興趣，即強調對所報考的專業懷有極大的興趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就讀的專業與報考的專業一致，則可以說明想繼續深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，則要說明報考專業對你的吸引力 (…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。
優勢，即強調研究生相對于本科生在知識、學術方面的優勢，如：知識面更廣(wider knowledge)，學術更專業(more professional)，眼界更廣闊等(broaden one’s horizon)。
益處，即強調考研對你的未來的積極影響(have a positive effect on…)，可以從求職、職業規劃、人生經歷等方面入手進行說明�？蓞⒖嫉脑~匯、短語如下：be helpful, contribute to, be beneficial to, be conductive to, be a definite advantage, become a strong point when it comes to… 等等。
對于那些在職考生或有工作經驗的考生來說，考官樂于知道他們為什么(放棄工作而)重新學習。考生可以直言在工作發現某些知識或技能很重要，希望能通過學習在這些方面進行提高 (In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself。)。
參考表達：During the past four years, I have learned a lot of professional knowledge and practical skills about xxx(專業), but gradually, I realize that it is not enough. In my opinion, further study is actually urgent for me to realize and finally achieve self-value. I am deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere when surfing on the web site of your department. It stimulates me interest in such field. I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate time. 參考表達：There must be many things to learn if I were enrolled into my ideal research field. I hope I can build up a systematic view of XX, especially in the fields of XX. In my spare time, I am big on the traditional Chinese painting. My favorite artist is Qi baishi. He was skilled in drawing shrimp. He observed them very carefully, and life to them in the picture. It not only cultivates one’s morality raises a gender, but also inherits traditional Chinese civilization. I also have a passion for watching English movies. My favorite movie is Forrest Gump. And I admire Forrest Gump’s spirit. Watching English movies can teach me a lot of truths, and I can learn the foreign cultures from the movies.
