2017考研英語閱讀經典實例分析

　　從難度來說，里面的長難句以及熟詞生意的使用現象不是特別多，但卻非常典型，有利于同學在剛接觸考研英語閱讀的時候，通過語境去背單詞，理解單詞更深一層次釋義的考察;從題材類型來說，本篇文章探討的是以美國為代表的西方經濟形式，用具體的事例將世人所信奉的貨幣政策拉下神壇。經濟類話題，尤其是涉及到西方經濟體經濟情況的文章，是考研英語常考話題，

　　1、Much of the language used to describe monetary policy, such as “steering the economy to a soft landing” or “a touch on the brakes”, makes itself sound like a precise science.

　　【解析】主句為Much of the language used to describe monetary policy makes itself sound like a precise science.謂語動詞為makes，used to為過去分詞做后置定語，修飾the language 。such as…brakes為插入語，補充說明language。
