職位能力素質(zhì)( Competencies )是應(yīng)聘者是否具備工作所需的基本能力素質(zhì)和職業(yè)素養(yǎng)。如：所學(xué)知識、智能水平、工作經(jīng)驗、工作主動性、人際關(guān)系等，能力的培養(yǎng)是和真正不斷地吸收新知識、新經(jīng)驗密不可分的，是人生的閱歷和長者的傳授相結(jié)合的。只有不斷充實自己，才能贏在各個起跑點上。
衡量一個職位主要有三個核心要素，這是面試時最重要的采分點，占80～90%。這是企業(yè)為了實現(xiàn)其戰(zhàn)略目標、獲得成功，而對應(yīng)聘者所具備的職業(yè)素養(yǎng)、能力和知識的綜合要求。面試時，著重考察應(yīng)聘者“怎樣表現(xiàn)自己(How it is performed )”。

例14：I：How do you rate yourself as a professional?(你如何評估自己是位專業(yè)人員呢?)
A：With my strong academic background, I am capable and competent. I think your unit needs a man like me.
(憑借我良好的學(xué)術(shù)背景，我可以勝任自己的工作，而且我認為自己很有競爭力。

2.工作成就，業(yè)績(achievements)
外國公司面試喜歡用事實說話，為了證明你的能力，你可以把過去的經(jīng)歷聯(lián)系起來，說明你曾經(jīng)為以前的公司解決過跟現(xiàn)在雇主所面臨的類似問題，最好用數(shù)字說話。

3.工作經(jīng)驗(working experience)：
對口的經(jīng)驗是目前各用人單位特別重視的一點，考核應(yīng)聘者是否做過空缺職位的相關(guān)工作，并積累了相關(guān)的經(jīng)驗，是否熟悉該項業(yè)務(wù)流程的運做，能否以最快的速度投入到工作中去，并帶來新的思路和方法。主考官看到你的經(jīng)驗當(dāng)然為你加分，所以，你下一步要談出自己的工作經(jīng)驗：

(你認為你是這個職位的最佳人選嗎?)
這時，你要給他一個最簡單、最明確、最自信的答復(fù)，同時給出理由：
A：Yes. Because I do believe that my qualifications and experience perfectly match what you are looking for. I have the experience you are looking for，and think I will be one of the best in this field.

用這樣的句式，讓面試人認為你是站在他們的立場上說話，在替他們的發(fā)展考慮問題，于是更容易接受你。當(dāng)面試人在審視你究竟能不能勝任此職時，參照的標準已不再是他心目中的標準，而是你列舉的理由。你有扎實的知識基礎(chǔ)、有相關(guān)的經(jīng)驗、富有自信心及吃苦耐勞的品性。主考官不選擇你，還能選擇誰呢?
